Play of the Day: Shan Masood plays captain’s knock of 145 as Pakistan give tough fight to South Africa amid follow-on

Skipper Shan Masood from the front after Pakistan were forced to follow-on in the second Test against South Africa at the Newlands in Cape Town. In reply to South Africa’s mammoth 615-run total in the first innings, Pakistan were bowled out for 194 as the hosts took a mammoth first innings lead of 421. Already leading the series 1-0, the Proteas enforced follow-on against Pakistan.

However, Pakistan performed completely different while batting in the second innings. Coming to overhaul the lead of 421 runs, Pakistan got a great start in the second innings as Shan Masood and Babar Azam put up an opening partnership of 205 runs. Babar got out after scoring 81(124) runs with 10 fours. After that, Masood went on to score his sixth Test hundred for Pakistan in his career.
